Boromi
Wherever families go, Boromi makes sure play belongs there too. Play is being crowded out of everyday life, yet it is fundamental to how children learn and grow. Boromi is building a connected network of play that puts high-quality play into the hands of families and into the places they already go. By equipping parents, connecting partners and embedding play into everyday environments, we increase access to frequent, high-quality play - leading to more playful people, places, and communities.
Daybreak
Registered in 1999, Daybreak is a charity whose foundations are in growing the practice of Family Group Conferences in the UK. From this, we have seen the positive impact that occurs when families and communities are empowered to take action when faced with challenging situations. Now, utilising a range of solution-focused approaches, we bring people together to enable them to problem-solve, make decisions and choose what actions to take to move forward, be safe, and thrive.
People and communities often feel disempowered - especially those whose lives are influenced by the systems around them. However, we know that people can take action and choose what action to take when given the right opportunity. This is why we believe in a world where ‘families’ and communities work together to make decisions and solve problems affecting their lives. Therefore, we work alongside partnering organisations and within the community to create opportunities for people to communicate, work together and create plans that when implemented, will enable them to move forward, be safe and thrive. Throughout our programs, our work relies on the principles of voluntary participation, transparency and openness for all, advocacy for those who need it, and for our work to be facilitative, not prescriptive
The Centre for Emotional Health
The Centre for Emotional Health (formerly Family Links) is a national charity and professional training provider. We are the home of The Nurturing Programme. Celebrating 30 years in 2027, we work with local authorities, voluntary sector, prisons, schools, workplaces and communities. Emotional health is our ability to understand, manage and express our emotions. This enables us to build healthy relationships and navigate the ups and downs of everyday life. Our universal, evidence-based programmes for parents focus on self-awareness, empathy and self-regulation, and support people to build and maintain positive relationships. They are being delivered widely by practitioners across the UK, including in a high proportion of Best Start Family Hubs. Centreforemotionalhealth.org.uk
